Your freezer is probably one of the most important kitchen appliances Bury that you have. This is true especially if you have a family with kids and a busy lifestyle. Most people just tend to buy freezer items when they're out food shopping, then they just get thrown into the freezer and the door is slammed shut. But we've got some tips and tricks on how to make the most of your freezer, without the use of frozen pizzas and chips.
Freeze your herbs for later
If your coriander/basil/parsley is falling a little flat before you've had a chance to use it all, why not freeze it for future use? All you need to do is trim it down and add it into an ice cube tray. Then top up the tray with water then freeze until you need to use it again. Then all you need to do when you need some herbs is pop it out and into your food. The water will melt away and you'll be left with some fresh herbs!
Why not try freezing your fruit?
Frozen bananas are perfect for making easy, homemade ice cream. Not only is it healthier than store-bought ice cream, you can also create your own wild and wonderful flavours!
If you're planning to throw a BBQ or garden party, why not freeze some berries with your ice cubes? They make the perfect addition to your cocktails, prosecco or wine!
And if you have any wine left over from these parties that you were thinking about using in your cooking, why not freeze that as well? Just be aware that wine takes longer to freeze than water. And once it's been frozen, it can only be used for cooking!
