When it comes to choosing your fitted kitchen design, you might be spoilt for choice with the range of colours and finishes that are now available. But there's two distinct categories that you can put the kitchen designs in, bright and light or dark. Last decade, the kitchen trend was definitely the brighter the better. However, trends are changing now and we've seen a massive boost in popularity in darker kitchens. So how do you choose which fitted kitchen design is the one for you?
Fitted Kitchen Manchester
If you have a kitchen that is a little bit on the smaller side, then you might decide to go for a lighter finish as this colour scheme gives off the illusion of more extra space. Letting natural and artificial light bounce off the work tops and units is the perfect way to make your room feel bigger than it actually is. However, one of the negatives that comes with a light coloured kitchen is how easily stained they can become. This can especially be an issue if you have a busy home full of kids and pets. You don't want to be on your hands and knees constantly wiping down your sides and units.
Darker toned kitchens bring about a classy and decadent feel to your home. But when we say a dark kitchen, we don't mean you have to have all black or all dark brown everything. You can mix and match different tones to create a fitted kitchen that has a touch of luxury about it without being too dark and dingy.
You could choose to mix and match to have the best of both worlds. Combining dark units with bright walls, or bright units with a dark work top. Your options are endless when it comes to creating your kitchen.
